Wore this for my last exam today and I have a few days of freedom before uni starts up again. I've been looking for a scarf like this for ages and I finally found one in pop boutique a few weeks ago on an unexpected few hours with the boys. All I want to do now is curl up and watch boardwalk empire again, blue valentine and read to my hearts content.

Went to London with my friend last Monday until Wednesday. Cue jumping on and off the tube, The Tower of London, The Eye, The Natural History Museum, paying a visit to the Hummingbird Bakery, acting like tourists, staring wistfully at all the bags in Selfridges, Monki in Selfridges, Sticky Fingers, sitting in front of the palace, using the ipad as a map, first class train tickets for £60 and general laughing, it was a good visit.

Wore one of my favourite dresses and new fur stole along with my trusty topshop platforms. I ever so slightly felt like a 1920s flapper girl again, with the dress being long and the fur just tops it off. I plan on living in this fur stole this winter, pairing it with my beloved topshop boyfriend coat. Aiming for a 1940s look with the coat, and pretending that I'm young, rich and hopping from bars and parties, such is life!

Bought this jumper a few weeks ago along with the top but have been waiting for a day to wear them. Got them out to have a catch up with friends, one of whom has just come back from Africa. I think I'm going to get the jumper in another colour as well as they're so easy to wear. (Also, obligatory blackberry in hand, I didn't know how to compose my face so just threw it in, gay I know.) Thought this looked a bit 60s school-esque for some reason, or is that just me? And my younger brother told me I looked nice as well, so thats always good.

Simple outfit for venturing out to the gym. I bought this scarf on Saturday when I met my mum after work for a bit of shopping and food, seeing as I'd been paid the day before, got to love pay-day! We went to this cute 50s diner on Bold Street called Rockerfellers Diner and ate hamburgers and chips. There were loads of old photos on the wall and 50s music playing in the background, it was so lovely.
I'm also obsessed with this and this. Lykke li remixes, which are just as good as the originals.

Long hair envy.
Even though my hair is quite long already, I'm daydreaming of the time when I have long layers. MK circa '07 (?), when she had really long, tousled hair is the main source if inspiration right now. I just need to sit back and wait patiently for my hair to grow!
I also flicker between wanting long hair and chopping it off into a shorter, blunt cut. Hannah-Rose has the same thought. But I've grown my hair for too long for me to cut it all off just yet.

I feel that this is the perfect outfit, simply yet very chic and one that I would gladly wear to dinner or drinks in a stylish bar. Its the right balance of masculine/feminine, something which I quite like to wear myself, with brogues and tapered trousers. Her hair is perfect as well, the right amount of tousled but not too bed-head. I'm on the lookout for a white blouse that I can pair with denim cut-offs when its warmer or simply with skinnies and my leather sandals.

The weather was glorious yesterday so I decided to take some photos in the garden. The idea of wearing loose on loose clothing really appealed to me, almost minimalism. I also really like my hair like this, its a nice change.

It has been so cold recently and last night it was -10degrees, my little car is frozen solid outside the house. This is the view out of my bedroom window, from the back of the house. I'm almost certain that I'll be buying a pair of these when I have birthday money. Black or brown? Black is a classic colour but the brown ones look softer. They'll be perfect in this weather we're having at the moment; very cold, some snow and ice. I'm trying m best not to fall over, as that would be so very embarrassing for me. I'll be wearing these with thick ribbed tights or velvet leggings topped off with fur. So many girls are wearing them in Liverpool now, which doesn't really bother me as they seem to wear the shiny ones. I've missed fur. It's getting colder and all I want to do is wrap up in my fur coat when I'm outside. Fur (faux ofc) is classic, it's timeless. It can dress up an outfit or add a little something extra without you even trying. I wore my vintage fur for the first time last week. It started raining and my umbrella snapped so by the time I got to the train station, I was like a drowned rat and my coat was like a wet dog, smooth. And tonight, I threw on my fur again to go to the supermarket. There's nothing like walking down the aisle with a basket in hand and your fur coat hanging on you.

1. Why did you create the blog?
I created the blog as a way to have a visual diary almost and as a way of presenting all the things I like, whether it be fashion or art or books or juts random images.

2. What kind of blogs do you follow?
Some blogs with just outfit posts but I like blogs with writing as well as all of that. Also, blogs that include snippets from their life or different places they have visited. And blogs with a load of different images that inspire you.

3. Favourite makeup brand?
I think it has to be MAC. There are so many things to choose from and their studio fix foundation is amazing. The MAC store where I live is bright and clean and very appealing.

4. Favourite clothing brand?
I know Topshop might not technically be a clothing brand but it has got to be one of my favourites. Apart from that I really like Chloe, Alexander Wang, YSL, Stella McCartney, Proenza Schouler and Chanel is a classic.

5. Your indispensable makeup product?
MAC select moisture cover concealer. It makes your skin look really smooth and feel so soft.

6. Your favourite colour?
Emerald Green.

7. Your perfume?
Flora by Gucci and Daisy by Marc Jacobs- I have a thing for floral perfumes.

8. Your favourite film?
I have too many but Titanic has got to be named; I love the story, the costumes, the drama, everything. And Inglorious Basterds and films like The Virgin Suicides and 500 Days of Summer.

9. What country would you like to visit and why?
Right now I'm thinking somewhere in Scandinavia like Stockholm or Oslo. The architecture and the general lifestyle appeal to me and there are some amazing well dressed people there.

10. Make the last question and answer to yourself.
What are your 3 favourite items in your wardrobe?
My boyfriend style tobacco topshop coat, brogues and leather jacket.

So I had to do a presentation on Tuesday which I was absolutely dreading. Dreading it so much that I was putting off writing the presentation all summer. I'm not good with speaking tbh and I don't like all the attention being on me. But the more I practised it, the slightly better I felt. I also downed a shot of raspberry vodka before I went to uni to give it, but I think it had worn off by the time I actually did it. So when it finally rolled round to me giving it (I was number 12), it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. My voice was a little shaky but when I sat back down, I felt good that it was over and that I had actually done it, an accomplishment (albeit a minor one.) Now I feel that if I have to do one again, which is likely, I won't get ridiculously anxious beforehand. It feels strangely good to vent this.
The picture is irrelevant but I adore Marilyn.

So I wore stocking tights the other day, I think they may be my favourite tights. I did get a few stares, as if I was actually wearing stockings. I think I was checking nearly every window to see what they looked like ha. I don't think I'll pull a Taylor Momsen anytime soon, but only if its fancy dress!

I couldn't resist posting these, the Chanel blog is a welcome distraction from uni work. Rachel's hair is the perfect example of balayage hair, the caramel against the dark brown is so nice. I think I'll be using this as inspiration for my next hair-cut.
